300 words on this character: Superboy, also known by his Kryptonian name Kon-El and his human alias Conner Kent, is a fictional superhero in the DC Comics Universe. He is a hybrid human/Kryptonian, cloned from Superman and his archnemesis Lex Luthor, and is a modern update of the original Superboy, who is a younger version of Superman.
Superboy's origins start with Project: Superman, which is the Superman cloning project originally intended to recreate the Man of Steel. Due to the inability to replicate and stabilize Kryptonian DNA, the clones of Superman degenerate after a short period of time. Upon Superman's death, the project is reinstated in secrecy in conjunction with Lex Luthor and Cadmus Labs to replace the fallen hero. After 12 documented attempts at cloning a Superman, human DNA (secretly that of Lex Luthor) is partially used to stabilize the Kryptonian DNA. The result is Superboy, the first successful clone of Superman.
He was a hero on his world, serving in several teams and in several crises, and ending his life in a titanic effort that saved a multiverse.
But his story was not over.
Currently
The Vortex brought him to the new world and sought a compatible body, but his was so torn up, it chose a woman, and placed him in her. Now he is waking to a new life and having to adjust to a new role, and is fighting it tooth and claw.
The Rose Frost of a possible future, a psychopath, lured Kon-El to a secluded location during a time when Kon was under the affects of one of the world's weird strange happenings. She tortured her and if she had been human, she would have died.
When Kon, regaining her powers and her senses, healed and woke, she was traumatized and she is dealing with that now.
Slowly She had found a new life, an the turning point came when she met Alice Ayers, who showed her what love was, no matter what the gender was.
She had married, and lived most of the time as a male, thanks to a genderswap potion.
Until Alice vanished, courtesy of the vortex, and Kon was sent into a tail spin of depression and neverending work. She stopped using the potion so much, allowing herself to slowly get used to being female.
Until, again, a vortex changed her life. In came Sir Integral Helsing, who, being a formidable woman, aroused old feelings in Kon. Using the genderswap potion, she slowly found herself liking Integral, and forming a strange relationship with her. |
